Daytona Beach is a beautiful drive. I remember the first time I rode on the beach back in the mid 1970's. Now I live just a few hours away so we drive Daytona Beach a couple times a year to include spring break. Automobiles are not the problem on the beach, the people are the problem. You can see them laying just feet from the traffic zone. They walk right out in front of cars with no regard for safety. They let their children run unattended. The adults lay just a couple feet from the traffic lane. Instead of asking why does this happen? The question should be Why would it not happen? The people are careless and exercise no safety.
